Man Utd V Fulham

Barclays Premier League
Venue: Old Trafford
Date: Sunday, 14 March 2010
Kick-off: 1330 GMT

Fulham arrive at Old Trafford hoping to secure their first ever league double over Manchester United, following their impressive 3-0 win at Craven Cottage last December. The result remains the champions' heaviest defeat of the season to date.

Manchester United might be the Premier League's form team going into the weekend, but Fulham have lost only one of their last six league games and Roy Hodgson and Mark Schwarzer were named manager and player of the month respectively for February.

Schwarzer might just have to be at his very best at Old Trafford to stop a rampant United side at present. Wayne Rooney and co have scored 23 goals in their last six home leagues games, with the in-form England striker helping himself to 10 of those.

At the other end United are proving just as emphatic. It's now 609 minutes of league football (10 hours and nine minutes) since they last conceded at home, when Gabriel Agbonlahor scored for Aston Villa in a 1-0 win on 12 December.

However, one man who thrives on matches against United is Fulham captain Danny Murphy. He fired his fifth career goal against them last December to set the west London side on their way to that 3-0 win.

He previously scored three match winning goals in four seasons at Old Trafford as a Liverpool player.

FORM GUIDE

Manchester United last 6 games

Man Utd - AC Milan 4 - 0
Wolverhampton - Man Utd 0 - 1
Aston Villa - Man Utd 1 - 2
Man Utd - West Ham 3 - 0

Fulham last 6 games

3 - 1 Juventus - Fulham
0 - 0 Fulham - Tottenham
0 - 0 Sunderland - Fulham
1 - 1 Shakhtar Donetsk - Fulham
2 - 1 Fulham - Birmingham
2 - 1 Fulham - Shakhtar Donetsk

TEAM NEWS

Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick returns to the squad for Sunday's game with Fulham, having been banned for Wednesday's win over Milan.

He looks set to replace Paul Scholes, who has played twice in five days.

Fulham

Fulham's Clint Dempsey is poised to make his first league appearance for two months after returning from a knee injury against Juventus on Thursday.

Nicky Shorey and Stefano Okaka were cup-tied for that game, while Danny Murphy has a slight groin problem.

I think Ajax! They are playing the best football in years. It will still be a very difficult match though.

A French international footballer of Algerian descent who plays for Arsenal.

A naturally right-footed player, he generally plays as a wing forward for Arsenal but has also been used in central and defensive midfield roles when needed. He has been hailed by many as the "new Zidane" after impressing at his boyhood club Marseille.

Previously a regular for France at the youth level, Nasri was named in the UEFA Euro 2008 squad but received little playing time. Since then, he has established himself as a regular in the national team.

Arsenal Career
Nasri scored in his Premier League debut against West Bromwich Albion with a close range effort, after four minutes of the first game of the season, on 16 August 2008.On 27 August in the 3rd Qualifying Round 2nd Leg against FC Twente, Nasri scored in the 26th minute. He scored his third goal of the season in the 3-1 over Everton on October 18th 2008. On 8 November 2008, Nasri scored both of Arsenal's goals in a 2–1 win over Manchester United. On 17 January 2009 he scored the 2nd goal in Arsenal's 3–1 win over Hull City at the KC Stadium. On 21 March, he made the scoresheet again as Arsenal defeated Newcastle 3–1 at St. James' Park.He concluded his debut season with Arsenal with 7 goals and 5 assists. On 9 March 2010 Nasri culminated an excellent display in Arsenal's 5–0 victory over FC Porto in the Champions League with a superb individual effort, dribbling past numerous Porto defenders before driving it across the goalkeeper, sending the ball in off the far post.

International career
Nasri has been involved in the French national set up for a long time, progressing through the Under-16s, 17s, 18s, 19s and 21s. He was part of the team that won the 2004 UEFA U-17 Championship, scoring the game-winning goal in the final match.Nasri received his first cap for the senior team on 28 March 2007 against Austria, in a home friendly match at the age of 19. He delivered a free kick low into the box from which teammate Karim Benzema scored the only goal of the match. He scored his first senior international goal in his third appearance for the senior team in a 1–0 win against Georgia on 6 June 2007 in a UEFA Euro 2008 qualifier. Nasri was named in Raymond Domenech's final squad for Euro 2008; at age 20, he was one of the youngest members of the French squad selected for the final tournament. He made two appearances as a substitute and played for 32 minutes.

Nasri has been compared to Arsenal legend Robert Pirès by Arsène Wenger who also described him as a quick and technically outstanding player with mobility and vision.

What films have you seen & disliked or have be a disapointment to you? Do not include any of the spoof movies as we all know they are tripe, or Van Damm/Segal for that matter! for me I've seen a few That people have raved about & was left thinking thanks that's afew hours of my life I'm not getting back!!! or I've read the book & the film left something to be desired here are some of mine.

2001 A Space Odyssey boring overrated fell asleep 1/2 way through.

A Clockwork Orange same as above but did managed to stay awake....just,didn't quite understand parts of
it.

Apocalypse Now Mismash of a film, which went nowhere very fast & me thinking WHY??

Eyes Wide Shut Seen better pornos that this shite....

Enemy At The Gate God awful movie, think it proberly was Jude Law that spoilt it as he didn't even
try to do a russian accent & the fact he isn't that good an actor did it for me.

The Devil Wears Prada Wasn't that awful it just that while most of it was true to the book the ending WAS
totally different which was a disappoint for me.

The 1st Wives Club I read the book afew years be for the movie came out, It's not to bad but very little
of the books storyline appears to have been used!

Champions League last 16 second leg (agg 1:2)
Venue: The Emirates
Date: Tuesday 9 March
Kick-off: 19:45 GMT

Arsenal must overturn a one-goal deficit when they welcome Porto to Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Gunners went down 2-1 at Estadio do Dragao in the first leg of their last-16 UEFA Champions League clash.

The scoreline could have been much higher as both sides had chances to add to their total three weeks ago.

As it was, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was left fuming following Porto's controversial winner from a quick free-kick after goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski had handled Sol Campbell's backpass.

And history is against the Gunners, who have not overturned a first-leg deficit in European competition since their UEFA Cup tie against Hajduk Split in 1978, having gone out of the Champions League to Bayern Munich (2004/05), PSV Eindhoven (2006/07) and Manchester United last season after losing away.

But the Gunners boss still believes his side have the edge heading into the tie after Campbell's crucial away goal, which Wenger describes as a "massive advantage".

FORM GUIDE

Arsenal last 6 games

Arsenal - Burnley 3 - 1
Stoke - Arsenal 1 - 3
Arsenal - Sunderland 2 - 0
FC Porto - Arsenal 2 - 1
Arsenal - Liverpool 1 - 0
Chelsea - Arsenal 2 - 0

Porto last 6 games

2 - 2 FC Porto - Olhanense
3 - 0 Sporting - FC Porto
5 - 1 FC Porto - Braga
2 - 1 FC Porto - Arsenal
0 - 0 Leixoes - FC Porto
3 - 0 FC Porto - Naval

TEAM NEWS

Arsenal

Abou Diaby is likely to replace the injured Cesc Fabregas as Arsenal seek to overcome a 2-1 deficit and reach the Champions League quarter-finals.

Sami Nasri is set to move into the Spaniard's midfield role for the second leg of the last 16 tie at the Emirates.

Sol Campbell is set to replace William Gallas (calf), while fit-again Manuel Almunia will start in goal.

Porto

For Porto, Nuno, Jorge Fucile, Rolando, Raul Meireles and Brazil international Hulk are back in the squad to face the Gunners.

The Portuguese outfit have plenty of options in attack, with Falcao, Marian Gonzalez, Cristian Rodriguez and Hulk all pressing to be included in their three-man frontline.
